I remember the first time I ever spoke with Miananda, even though it was many years ago. She was still working mainly as a Marriage and Family Therapist as the time, although she was anything but conventional, nothing like anything I ever seen before. I wanted to make an appointment to see her. When I spoke to her over the phone her voice sounded so sweet and gentle almost like a child. First you need to know that I was a 55-year-old man that was a musician in the 60s 70s and 80s. I’ve seen and done EVERYTHING there is to do. I said are you sure you can handle a guy like me because I have kids that probably are older than you. You’re going to hear stuff from me that I don’t think they teach you in school and you sound like you just got out of school. Without hesitation she said “Do not go by the sound of my voice, I know that I can help you.”
I was trying to have a decent relationship with my ex-wife who had blocked my number and would not talk to me at all. We agreed to meet. Out comes this tiny beautiful young woman. I remember thinking there was something special about her eyes, like she was from another planet…..
Talk about Eye Candy. I remember saying to my ex,”OK, let’s do this.” She made us start talking and within 10 minutes she told us to STOP!! look at both of your positions. We both was sitting at the edge of the chair, going at each other, neither one of us was listening to the other. All of a sudden she became the adult, instant mother energy came through her and we became the children. I can go on like this forever but then we have to write a book. To make a long story short, never judge a book by its cover. Many years later, I am still living with my ex-wife,in separate rooms but still living together.
She wanted to see us separately for a while. One day after one of our sessions, I remember being aggravated and she told me to go hug a tree. I said “Girl you must be crazy” but I did it anyway, and you know, I felt 100% better. She made me read certain books. I personally don’t read books, I’m a TV guy myself. I read them all anyway. She taught me how to meditate. And showed me how to see colors inside my mind. She brought me back to a past life. I never believed in any of this stuff but I always knew that there was something more to life. I’ll tell you one thing I sure don’t look at trees like I did before. I don’t look at ANYTHING the way I did before. Especially Mother Earth, animals and people.
The old saying goes you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. Well Miananda took me to the water but it was up to me to drink. However! She never gave up on me and made me SMELL the water and made me thirsty.
I’m not the same guy I was before I met Miananda. I’m not claiming to be perfect either. I still have a long way to go but I never stop learning and I know that’s what life is really all about to learn, and to become good human beings, be the first guy to put your arm out and give a stranger a handshake and say hello. There is too much evil in the world we have to do something about it, it’s a good way to start.
I know that Miananda is no longer doing this same kind of one-on-one counseling, as I would say “she has bigger fish to fry”… saving the world and all, but I want to thank you Miananda personally for opening my eyes to the truth and my heart to a deeper love.
